Call for papers

The 7th Postgraduate Research Forum on Linguistics (PRFL) will be held from April 18 to 19, 2011 at City University of Hong Kong. All current postgraduate students are cordially invited to attend and present papers at PRFL-7. Please find the relevant information as follows.

Date: April 18-19, 2011
Venue: City University of Hong Kong
Theme: Semantics, Syntax, and Pragmatics—Interface and Division of Labor

Important dates:

Abstract submission deadline: January 25, 2011
Notification of Acceptance: From February 20, 2011
Proceeding Paper submission deadline: July 20, 2011

Abstract requirements:

1. Abstracts are written in English or Chinese.
2. Each has no more than 400 words.
3. The format in the attachment is strongly recommended.

Submission requirements:

1. Submissions are limited to a maximum of one individual and one joint abstract per author.
2. Please send in two SOFT copies as e-mail attachments to prfl2011@gmail.com, one with the title of the paper, name(s) of the author(s) as well as affiliation(s), and the other without the author’s information. The named copy should be operated in MSWord while the anonymous one can be in MSWord or PDF.
3. Please list the linguistic area of the paper and the author’s name in “subject” of the email.
4. Please list (1) title of the paper, (2) name(s) of the author(s), (3) affiliation(s), (4) mailing address(es) and (5) email address(es) in the e-mail.
5. A hard copy of the abstract should be sent to the correspondence address.

English format:

• Margin: vertical = 1 inch; horizontal = 1.25 inches.
• Font: Times New Roman.
• Title of the paper: size = 16 font; skip one line before title. 
• Author’s information: Name(s): size = 12 font; order = First name, Last name (1st letter capitalized)
• Affiliation(s): size = 9 font.
• E-mail address(es): size = 9 font.
• "Abstract": size = 14 font; text = 12 font; 1.5 spaced.
• "Keywords": size = 14 font; text = 12 font.
• "References": size = 12 font; aligned in the center; text = 9 font.

徵稿啟事

「第七屆研究生語言學學術會議」（簡稱PRFL-7）由香港城市大學中文、翻譯及語言學系主辦，香港大學語言學系、香港中文大學語言學及現代語言系、香港理工大學中文及雙語學系、香港科技大學人文學部及香港浸會大學文學院合辦，香港語言學會贊助。歡迎所有在讀研究生踴躍賜稿並參加此次盛會，相關訊息如下：

（ 一 ）提要徵集：即日起至2011年1月25日。
（ 二 ）審查結果通知: 2011年2月20日始。
（ 三 ）全文集稿﹕2011年7月20日止。

六、提要要求：

• 篇幅以400字為限，中英文均可。
  頁邊距：上下邊距各1英寸，左右邊距各1.25英寸論文大題目用16號黑體，居中排, 前空1行。作者姓名用12號宋體, 作者單位用9號宋體，作者電郵地址用9號Times New Roman。中文摘要的“摘要：”用14號黑體, 摘要的中文內容用12號宋體，摘要的英文內容用12號Times New Roman。“關鍵字”用14號黑體，關鍵字的內容用12號宋體，1.5倍行距。
• “參考文獻”四個字用12號黑體居中排, 參考文獻的內容若是中文用9號宋體, 若為英文用9號Times New Roman。

七、投稿方式：

提要請一律以電子郵件附件方式惠寄兩份至 prfl2011@gmail.com，一份提要為WORD文檔，內容需包括標題、作者姓名及就學單位，另一份為匿名PDF或WORD文檔。信件主題欄請注明「某某人：投稿之相關語言學領域」，並請在信件內容中寫下：文章名稱、作者姓名、就學單位及聯絡方式(含電子郵件地址、書信郵寄地址及聯絡電話)。同一作者最多僅能投稿單獨作者論文一篇及共同作者論文一篇。
